    VEENA CHANDRA is an internationally renowned sitarist, composer, teacher and choreographer. She is the founder and director of the Dance and Music School of India in Latham, NY (celebrating 34 years). She is faculty at Skidmore College (since 1990) and an Artist Associate at Williams College (since 2014).

Indian Classical Sitar and Viola Collaboration

Veena and Tsuna are immigrant women musicians, educators from different cultures - Indian Japanese, different genre creating new music together.

Veena Chandra – American Indian Classical Musician Sitar player, composer, educator and  Tsuna Sakamoto -Violist, composer, educator with National Symphony Orchestra since 1998. In this collaboration Veena and Tsuna will create several New Compositions together. Since both are educators they will do two workshops Fall 2020 and they will perform In Spring 2021 both will take place at Arthur Zankel Music Center at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY. Performance will be audio, video recorded, and also it will be live streamed in order to share with broader audience, both plan to create a CD as well.
