Loke Risberg is a celebrated, award winning guitarist and composer originally from Sweden. Having performed with musicians, groups and artists such as Nils Landgren, Ellen Nisbeth, The Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Miriam Bryant among others and toured worldwide with their own groups, Risberg has earned their place in the music world.
In 2005 Risberg was awarded a scholarship for guitarists followed by an endorsement by Fender Musical Instruments. They performed as soloist with Blue House Jazz Orchestra, Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic and played at jazz clubs all over Sweden with their own trio.
In 2008 they was accepted to Berklee College of Music on a scholarship where they studied with Mick Goodrick and David Fiuczynski, and was in 2011 awarded the prestigious “Jimi Hendrix Award” from Berklee’s Guitar Department.
As leader they released four albums, the latest named “Boiler Room” (2021, CAM JAZZ).
Risberg also has a career in composing for modern art music ensembles and has had works performed by Ellen Nisbeth, The Gothenburg Combo and Sonanza among others.
Risberg is currently endorsed by Strandberg Guitars.
