Sunnyside Recording Artist, Guggenheim Fellow and acclaimed New York City flutist/composer Jamie Baum is making her long-awaited appearance at Scullers with her Quintet. She and her Quintet will give local audiences a preview of her forthcoming eighth album as a leader featuring her compositions, with an amazing supporting cast of musicians featuring on alto sax, Jaleel Shaw, who was a long-standing member of the Roy Haynes Quartet and more recently touring with Dave Holland. Jamie will also be joined by “one of the leaders of the young jazz piano scene” according to JazzTimes, pianist Julian Shore. Veteran, renown drummer Jeff Hirshfield (featured on over 350 recordings) and bassist Sam Minaie.
