Summer Picnic Concert: Exponential Ensemble
Founded in 2011 by clarinetist Pascal Archer, Exponential Ensemble is a mixed chamber music collective that comprises New York City’s top-notch performers and teaching artists. Each season the ensemble presents compelling programs that include both classic masterworks and contemporary masterpieces to a variety of audiences. This concert will end Exponential Ensemble’s Season 15, Legacies, with works showcasing woodwinds, including Valerie Coleman’s Rubispheres inspired by NYC’s nightlife.
This performance takes place in Fort Tryon Park at the Café Lawn. We recommend following your GPS to the Bonnefont Restaurant or entering the park near Margaret Corbin Circle and looking for the WHCO concert sign! Don’t miss the chance to wander around the beautiful Heather Gardens or check out the Met’s Cloisters Museum while you’re in the area.
These concerts are free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic, blankets, or chairs, and we kindly ask that you help maintain the cleanliness and care of our shared public spaces.
