​SPARKS #4 – RAIN ft. Sasha Petrenko & Andrew C. Smith

Join Arab.AMP for our next SPARKS event in the series- RAIN – featuring conversation and performances by Sasha and Andrew. Sasha Petrenko is an artist, builder and educator with an interdisciplinary practice and pedagogy, blending sound, sculpture, architecture, climate and earth data into experiential installations and performances. Andrew C. Smith is a composer, curator, and the Executive Director of The Lab in San Francisco. For the next three seasons, his work at The Lab uses the compost pile as a model to think with, envisioning an artistic ecosystem based on (and acknowledging) interdependence.

SPARKS: a conversation & performance series featuring leaders and practitioners from varied disciplines—artists, authors, organizers, makers—who share a medium and an orientation toward liberation. Each conversation is ‘sparked’ by a theme and anchored in artistic and social practices. Like all Arab.AMP events, each SPARKS is an invitation to imagine the future together, and to inspire new interventions and connections.
