SoSaLa At the DOWNTOWN MUSIC GALLERY (NY)

This is SoSaLa’ 2nd in-store event at the legendary music store DOWNTOWN MUSIC GALLERY (13 Monroe St, New York, NY 10002) of this year.
The intention of this concert is firstly to support local retailers which really care for music per se, selling marginal music and who give musicians and bands to perform their music. And secondly, promoting SoSaLa’s new CD “1993.”

About the music: SoSaLa calls his music “nu world trash,” which is a mix of jazz, blues, oriental, spoken word and noise. Music which creates sounds with social-political messages.

The SoSaLa members are:
SoSaLa on tenor and soprano saxes and vocals/spoken words, Jean-Marie Collatin-Faye on congas, djembe and percussion, Mark C (LIVE SKULL) electric guitar, David Belmont (poetry) and Chris Coluzzi (snare drums).
