New Ear Festival 2026
We are so excited to announce the lineup for New Ear Festival 2026!
Friday, January 16
The festival kicks off with a live set by Talullah Calderwood, followed by a video/performance work from Sue Huang. The night culminates in an improvised set by Konjur Collective — Bashi Rose (drums), Jamal R. Moore (multi-instrumentalist), Daoure Diongue (sax), and Emperor King Bishop (sax).
Saturday, January 17
The evening opens with a dance piece by Jade Manns, followed by Heather Dewey-Hagborg’s Hybrid: an Interspecies Opera. Finally, Stephen Vitiello (guitar), Brendan Canty (drums; Fugazi), and Hahn Rowe (violin) — bring the night to a close.
Sunday, January 18
Our final night features a quad performance by LaFrae Sci, a duet from Ex Wiish / Dorothy Carlos, and a closing set by Lucky Dragons (Sarah Rara and Luke Fischbeck).
The annual New Ear Festival reflects one of New Ear Inc.’s core missions: to rekindle the creative, experimental energy at the ground-floor level of downtown Manhattan. Each year, the festival highlights the full spectrum of time-based art—from sound installations and video works to storytelling, movement, and beyond.
