Moldovest brings together Chicago-based Moldovan vocalist Ana Everling, Madison-based bassist John Christensen, and guitarist Kenny Reichert in a new collaborative project. Reichert has been composing new material with their distinct musical voices in mind, drawing together Eastern European lyricism, modern jazz language, and open-ended improvisation. This performance marks the project’s first presentation and the beginning of what is intended to grow into a long-term creative collaboration.
