Let It Be Said

A spoken word project ‘Let It Be Said’ features writer Miesha Lowery, performers/narrators Jada Lane, Mohammad Rohaizad Suaidi, clarinetist Katherine Repka and vibraphonist Michael Barranco. As part of our 30th anniversary concert season, this project will be touring the Washington metropolitan area in fall of 2023 and spring of 2024 as well.

From the writer’s pen: “’Let It Be Said’ is a mixed bag of ingredients, a sprinkle of mundane, a tablespoon of thoughtfulness, a dash of wisdom, a teaspoon of love, and a quarter of a cup of the daily grind. I created a realistic short story broken up into spoken words, and the Baltimore Composers Forum brought it to life from their inspiration. ‘Let It Be Said’ is the epitome of fleeting thoughts, moments, and whispered feelings.”
