Inversion Ensemble and KMFA present The Electric Choir on Saturday October 22, 2022 at 2 PM at the KMFA Draylen Mason Studio at 41 Navasota St, Austin, TX 78702. The Electric Choir features a “plugged-in” edition of Inversion. This genre-bending concert alternates between new a cappella works and choral works accompanied by electronic tracks and electric instruments. Highlights include the world premiere of a brand new piece from 2022 KMFA Draylen Mason Composer-in-Residence, Quinn Mason, as well as the winner of the Sandra Fivecoat Memorial Composition Competition (35 and under division). In-house composers Marjorie Halloran, Adrienne Inglis, Robbie LaBanca, Trevor Shaw, and Trevor Villwock also have works premiered on the program.
