Henry Turner Jr.’s Solo Concert Series V
Henry Turner, Jr.’s Listening Room Museum Foundation is pleased to announce Henry Turner Jr.’s Solo Concert Series V. The four-week music series will is performed by Henry Turner, Jr. and features special guests. It starts on Saturday, June 6 and ends on Saturday, June 27 at Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room located at 2733 North Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802. The series will feature selections from Turner’s extensive music catalog and spans blues, soul, reggae, funk and jazz. Some of his blues, jazz and soul songs include
“The Baton Rouge Theme Song,” “Louisiana” and “Swinging in the Room.”
During his forty plus year career, award-winning singer/songwriter and storyteller Henry Turner Jr. has become known for a syncopated style of music that incorporates various genres, as well as toe-tapping rhythms and tongue-in-cheek lyrics.
The concert series is made possible by a grant from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation.
