HARBOR

HARBOR is an immersive collaboration between Emissary Quartet (four flutists) and Synchronous (five dancers), inviting audiences into an intimate exploration of space, safety, and human connection. Building upon their 2024 premiere UTILITY, this new work expands the dialogue between sound and movement, transforming fleeting moments of trust and protection into shared experience. Audiences are free to move throughout the venue as musicians and dancers weave together living vignettes of music and motion. Featuring works by living composers Nicole Chamberlain, Valerie Coleman, Chen Yi, Eve Beglarian, Herman Beeftink, and Owen Eddy, HARBOR blurs the boundaries between performer and observer, offering a rare chance to witness contemporary music and dance converge into a single, breathing work of art.

Please note that the audience will be standing for the majority of the performance. HARBOR takes place across two floors and the performers will guide attendees down a staircase during the course of the show. We encourage our virtual ticket offering as an additional option.
