Five Borough Songbook, Volume III – Queens Premiere

Flushing Town Hall, Five Boroughs Music Festival, and On Site Opera are proud to present the Queens Premiere of the Five Borough Songbook, Volume III, a collection of 15 new songs written and performed by an all-star lineup of composers and performers.

We’re particularly glad to bring home three songs set in Queens, inspired by the seascapes of Far Rockaway, by the panorama at the Queens Museum, and a borough-wide strut worthy of anthem status!

The Songbook’s performers include singers from the new super-group Kaleidoscope Vocal Ensemble – Nicole Joseph, Gitanjali Mathur, Cecilia Duarte, Haitham Haidar, and Jonathan Woody – and pianist Erika Switzer, violinist Pala Garcia, and cellist John Popham; its 15 brilliant new songs were composed by Arianne Abela, Raquel Acevedo Klein, Kinan Azmeh, Colin Britt, Majel Connery, Laura Jobin-Acosta, Will Healy, Brian Lawlor, Jessica Meyer, Angélica Negrón, Nkeiru Okoye, Juri Seo, Aaron Siegel, Darian Donovan Thomas, and Jonathan Woody.
