Andrés Jaramillo in concert
“A Journey of Immigrants, Part II”
Reprising his theme from last season’s timely and impactful program, Andrés Jaramillo continues a musical meditation into the spirit of the immigrant experience. Where last year’s concert focused on the emotional or interior life of the individual, “A Journey of Immigrants, Part II” is a program that shifts from introspection to celebration, embracing the beauty of multicultural exchange, honoring both what immigrants bring and what they receive in return.
Through a vibrant and evocative program spanning the global Romantic tradition to works by living European and Latin American composers, Jaramillo invites audiences into a rich ecosystem of languages, perspectives, sonorities, colors, and even flavors. This recital is not only a musical journey, but a living portrait of cultural encounter; an artistic space where multiculturalism is not just represented, but heard, felt, and celebrated.
