9th Annual Baton Rouge Soul Food Festival
The 9th Annual Baton Rouge Soul Food Festival will be held May 23–24 at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library Main Library, 7711 Goodwood Blvd., from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The free, family-friendly event features blues, soul, R&B and gospel music, a Vendor’s Village, a Soul Food Cooking Contest and a Mustard Greens and Cornbread Eating Competition. A pre-party will be held May 21 at Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room with a soul food buffet and live music.
