The Opening Event of the thirteenth annual Composers Now Festival features a vibrant program of music by living composers hosted by Composers Now founder and artistic director, Tania León.

The 2023 Composers Now Visionary Awards were presented to Adolphus Hailstork and Ellen Taaffe Zwilich.

The 2023 First Commission Award is presented to Dorian Tabb – world premiere performed by the Bergamot Quartet.

Video presentations from residents of the Fall 2022 Composers Now Composers Creative Residency inti figgis-vizueta, Wu Chien-Wei, Selma Savolainen, and Cheuk Wing Nam – Co-produced with the Asian Cultural Council and Pocantico Center of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.

Featuring guest composers: Paola Marquez, Gity Razaz, Rick Baitz, David Virrelles, and the hip hop collective SPACE CADE7S.
